About Us
Welcome to Recovery First Foundation (RF). We are a Charitable Trust (not for profit) organization. We are registered with the New Zealand Charities Commission, and at societies.govt.co.nz.
We offer support and assistance with after-care to men once they are released from prison/corrections. We are confident that we do contribute towards helping men make life changing decisions that will keep them out of jail, and prevent re-offending.
We believe people can be rehabilitated and change their lives, providing they want that for themselves.
It is our passion to get alongside these men, build relationships with them and encourage a new way of life which ultimately will make them a better person, a better husband, father, brother, son, uncle, or even grandfather.
We aim to establish and maintain a wide range of community based services that are comprehensive, linked, client centered and culturally acceptable for persons released from incarceration and/or persons affected by addictions, by motivating and supporting them so that they may have the opportunity to achieve their maximum potential as participating and integrated citizens in the community.
We, “Recovery First Foundation” are dedicated to supporting men who are being released back into the community after incarceration, by providing support networks and services to assist in reintegration and aftercare for those that have been affected by substance dependency. We believe in order to provide a sustainable element to aftercare, building and developing relationships is a key element to achieving this.
With over twenty years of experience in the recovery field, we “Recovery First Foundation” know how important it is to have access to mentors/role models to assist in facilitating and promoting recovery first.
